2021 Neighborhood Board Election Final Results Posted

HONOLULU --The Neighborhood Commission Office (NCO) announced this afternoon the 2021 Neighborhood Board (NB) election results have been posted on the NCO's website at: www.honolulu.gov/nco

A total of 495 candidates filed to run in this year's election and 402 were elected. Voting was done mostly online with 26,133 votes cast digitally and 346 votes via paper ballot.

"Congratulations to all of the neighborhood board members who were elected to represent the community on a variety of meaningful topics," said Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi. "This is a valuable community service and their contributions will go a long way in improving quality of life in their respective communities."

"The Neighborhood Board system is a great way for people to get involved with government and improve your community," said Bryan Choe, Chair of the Neighborhood Commission.

Many of the NBs provide live meeting access so anyone can view and participate in their monthly meetings. To see if your neighborhood board has live access, please check your board's agenda at http://www.honolulu.gov/nco/boards.html.

The Neighborhood Board System was established in 1973 by the City and County of Honolulu. This system is made up of 33 Neighborhood Boards across O‘ahu that are striving to improve not only their communities, but O‘ahu as a whole. Neighborhood Board Elections are held every two years.
