KAMA'AINA ENJOY A NIGHT OF LUXURY FOR LESS THIS SUMMER ON STAR OF HONOLULU'S FIVE STAR SUNSET DINING & JAZZ CRUISE

Hawaii's premier, award-winning tour vessel, the Star of Honolulu, invites kama'aina to enjoy an evening of luxury and romance on its signature Five Star Sunset Dining & Jazz Cruise with a special buy one, get one offer from July through September 2014.

Chefs de Cuisine Adam Gilbert, Norman Soderberg and Kevin Carvalho have created a seven-course Summer-inspired menu full of seasonal colors and flavors with island touches, served in classic French style. During the Captain's Welcome Reception, guests begin the evening with an assortment of Summer canapés and a Hawaiian Bellini while enjoying Hawaiian music before departing for the open seas. Dinner continues in the lavish Art Deco Super Nova room with a smoked Kamuela tomato bisque, accompanied by basil foam and grilled crostini. Following is a refreshing salad of Waimanalo micro greens, scallop and compressed watermelon poisson cru.

The decadent main course is an air-flown live Maine lobster paired with lobster "surimi," sweet Kahuku corn sauce, Kaffir lime buerre blanc, and Tsar Nicoulai caviar. An intermezzo of pineapple cilantro sorbet follows to cleanse the palate. The second main course is the highest-grade prime tenderloin of beef with spinach, shallot confit and prosciutto dust. It's finished with an accompaniment of Tahitian vanilla poached potato and port reduction.

The feast comes to a sweet ending with an "ume" strawberry crème. Candied macadamia nut crumble, chocolate air and vanilla anglaise complete the luscious dessert.

Live Jazz music by some of Hawaii's top artists creates the perfect soundtrack for a refined and elegant night out. The wrap-around windows offers guest stunning views of the summer sunset and breathtaking Oahu coastline.

The Five Star Sunset Dining & Cruise departs nightly from Pier 8 at Aloha Tower Marketplace at 5:30 p.m. From July 1 through September 30, 2014, kama'aina who purchase one ticket for the suggested retail price of $189 receive a second ticket free with valid Hawaii I.D.
